This verification process is to ensure the safety of the community, allowing followers to buy, sell and trade with some assurance that this page is free of scammers.

This verification process is not new, however this form is new.

Instagram makes it increasingly difficult for non-followers to contact private pages, and people they are not connected to. Some of you have had trouble getting through to me, and have been waiting a long time to be confirmed — I hope this will streamline the process and resolve that issue.
